What areas do you cover for disco services and DJ bookings?

We are based in Inverclyde but provide professional DJ services across West and Central Scotland. This includes Greenock, Gourock, Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Paisley, Glasgow, and surrounding areas. If your venue is further afield, just ask!

Can we choose the music for our party?

Absolutely. We encourage clients to provide a playlist of their favorite songs, as well as a “do not play” list. On the night, we are also more than happy to take requests from your guests to keep the dancefloor moving.

Do you provide equipment, or does the venue need to supply it?

We are a fully self-contained mobile disco. We bring our own professional sound systems, DJ booth, and lighting rigs. All we need from the venue is a safe power supply and a space to set up.

Are you insured?

Yes. Hot Stuff Disco carries full Public Liability Insurance (PLI), and all of our electrical equipment is PAT tested for safety, which is a requirement for most hotels and corporate venues.

How far in advance should we book a DJ for our event?

For weddings and busy times of the year (like the December party season or peak summer dates), we recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance as prime weekend dates fill up very quickly. However, for birthdays and last-minute celebrations, always feel free to get in touch as we may have availability.

How long before the event starts do you arrive to set up?

We typically arrive at the venue about 45 to 60 minutes before the music is scheduled to begin. This allows us enough time to load in our equipment, set up the audio-visual rig safely, and do a quick soundcheck before your guests enter the room.

Can you act as an MC to make announcements during the night?

Yes. While we let the music do the talking to keep the dancefloor busy, we are happy to act as your Master of Ceremonies. We can confidently introduce the cutting of the cake, the first dance, the buffet opening, or any other important announcements you need throughout the evening.

What happens if our venue has a sound limiter?

Sound limiters are very common in historic venues, hotels, and town halls across Glasgow and West Scotland. We are highly experienced in working with these systems and know exactly how to manage our bass frequencies and volume levels to keep the party atmosphere high without tripping the venue’s power limiters.

Do you carry backup equipment?

Yes, reliability is key to our 5-star service. We carry backup audio and technical equipment to every gig. In the highly unlikely event of a technical issue, we can switch over seamlessly to ensure the music and your party continue without interruption.

How do we secure our booking, and what are the payment terms?

Once you are happy with your quote, we require a small deposit to lock in your date in our diary. The remaining balance can be paid securely via bank transfer leading up to the event, or in cash on the night of the party, whichever is easiest for you.
