When did it start?

I started djing in 1987 when I left school and have been doing it every weekend since I have been consistently busy and have gained loads of experience in a wide variety of environments…

In the 90’s I was heavily involved in the mobile disco scene in Greenock and surrounding areas, I was more interested in my passion for radio broadcasting and I played a part in many local radio rsl radio stations such as Inverclyde FM, radio cracker, tall ships FM and the like, I have done a lot of voluntary work including with Inverclyde Hospital Radio where I was a regular presenter and the treasurer for a number of years…

I have gained valuable presenting experience presenting outside events like Gourock garden Party, Wemyss Bay Gala Day, Inverclyde Leisure Events and The comet festival in Port Glasgow…….

In 2002 I became self-employed and Hot Stuff Disco was officially born in Greenock…

Weekly I have been satisfying customers in Inverclyde and Beyond with a great selection of music and the latest equipment…

In 2006 I gained an H.N.C in Radio broadcasting at Reid Kerr College Paisley and learned the tricks of the trade but have been too busy with my mobile disco work to pursue a broadcasting career preferring to work at the weekends…

I have had many residencies including a 4-year residency in Word Up, 2 years in the Regal bar, 2 years in Slange Bar, a long run in Chaplin’s and currently a long residency at the Darroch bar in Gourock….

Those who know me know I am a capable and trustworthy member of the team when I am working.

Many people have booked me for weddings and they know I can be trusted to give them what they are asking for……

Christenings are a favourite gig of mine as I love to have fun with the kids and I am often happy doing the birdie dance or agadoo on a Sunday afternoon.

I have done gigs for sailors, a fashion show for nuns, have provided the P.A for the naming ceremony of ships, I have done “one last party” for someone with a terminal illness and often gigged for disabled clients at various local centres such as the Macpherson centre and the Fitzgerald Centre,

School discos are a favourite gig for me as I have done loads of gigs in schools such as Greenock High school, St Laurence’s Primary, Higholm Primary and more recently Newark primary school.

Such wide experience over 24 years has allowed me to be unconsciously competent at my job and trusted by many.
